阿珠是一隻於路環市區大街徘徊的小狗。從前，阿珠是和主人一起居住的，但阿珠的主人已於十年前去世。其主人的兒子及太太亦遷離路環，因此沒有人照顧阿珠，他們為此把阿珠委託附近的便利商店老闆娘照顧，兒子亦抽空回到路環探望阿珠及為其洗澡。附近居民表示阿珠是一隻性格頑固的狗，只有其主人的兒子才能為她洗澡。此外，附近居民表示，平日休閒時分，阿珠早上睡覺，晚上則以守護者角色維持路環大街的安全，當陌生人靠近時會以叫聲作保護，因此他們對阿珠十分瞭解。可見路環居民與阿珠的友愛之情，他們也非常愛惜阿珠。阿珠擁有一份對路環居民的忠誠之心，真令人敬佩。
A Chu is a dog who wanders around Coloane. In the past, A Chu was living with her master; however, who passed away 10 years ago. The master’s son and his wife also moved out, so his son entrusted one convenience store’s owner to take care for A Chu’s daily life, his son also visits A Chu and help her to take shower during his spare time. Neighbors who live in Coloane claim that A Chu is a stubborn dog, she only allows the master’s son to help her take shower. Besides, A Chu always sleeps in the morning and to be a guardian of Rua dos Negociantes at night to ensure the security of local businesses and residences. According to some residents, if strangers reach that street, it barks sharply until they leaved; therefore, they know A Chu very well. It shows that A Chu has established a good relationship with the community; the residents cherish A Chu very much. The loyalty of A Chu to the Coloane residents is admirable.
